‘Bad Boys 3’ Delayed Again Possibly Due To Production Schedule, Fourth Film May Not Push Through

It looks like "Bad Boys For Life" has been moved to a later date again, this time premiering on November 9, 2018, and it's likely due to problems with the production schedule. With this recent delay, there's a possibility that "Bad Boys 4" might not even happen.

Dirk Libbey of Cinema Blend has reported that the news of the delay first came from the Twitter Feed of Exhibitor Relations. The latest premiere date of "Bad Boys 3" means that the movie is almost two years delayed.

Libbey said that the original release date of the movie was on February 17, 2017, but then it was pushed back to June 2017, then to January 12, 2018, and now to November 9, 2018. Libbey adds that the movie already has a momentum moving forward, considering that director Joe Carnahan has been talking about the movie and the script he has written. He said that the possible reason for the delay is the production schedule of the film.

Libbey said if the production crew will be able to find a spot on Will Smith's busy schedule to finally start filming, it's likely that the November 2018 premiere will stick. MovieWeb reports that Smith is being eyed to star in Disney's live-action "Dumbo."

The report said that the movie is being directed by Tim Burton and is likely contributing to the new delay on "Bad Boys For Life's" delay, assuming Disney managed to work out a deal with the actor. This delay, though, has put the fourth installment of the movie in danger of not pushing through.

Exhibitor Relations has included in its tweet that "Bad Boys 4" is TBD (to be decided). Libbey said this means that the fourth movie's supposed July 2019 premiere won't push through and the film has been entirely dropped from the schedule.
