‘iZombie’ Season 3 Gearing Up For Human Or Zombie Issue, Liv Moore Will Struggle To Choose Sides

The season three of the hit series "iZombie" is gearing up for the eventual clash between the human population and the zombies. The series will also have a two-hour special premiere on April 4, 2017, with back-to-back episodes.

According to the Nerdist, the show's executive producer Rob Thomas said at the 2017 Winter Television Critics Association panel that season three will be different from the first two seasons. He said there will not be any clear antagonist in this season.

He adds that they will also keep the fans guessing as to which side they would choose the humans or the zombies. Thomas said that they are building up for a season 4 wherein the issue of humans vs. zombies becomes big.

"It does become more front and center in season three," he said. "There are a lot more zombies walking around in the world and the issue is, is it better to be a zombie? Are you a higher functioning creature?"

Thomas adds that there is actually "an entire zombie military outfit." He said that these military zombies are determined to make the world safer for zombies at all costs.

One apparent cast who will be having a hard time choosing sides is Rose McIver's Liv Moore, according to Kayti Burt of the Den of Geek. She said that Moore will struggle on whether she sides with the humans or the zombies when they inevitably clash. Season 3 will also see more of Clive Babineaux's (Malcolm Goodwin) reactions to the various personality changes of Moore's personality.

As for when season 3 will come out, fans won't have to wait that long as Burt said The CW confirmed that "iZombie" Season 3 will be airing on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at 8.pm. They also said it will be two-hour special, premiering back-to-back episodes.

Burt adds that moving forward the show will air every Tuesday, 9 p.m. ET, right after "The Flash." Check out McIver talking about season 3 in the video below.
