The second half of season 7 of "The Walking Dead" will see Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) meet King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) when they go to the Kingdom. Meanwhile, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, said that the second half of the season will be "epic."
According to a report from the Insider, episode 9 of the show is when Paul "Jesus" Rovia (Tom Payne) takes Rick and his group to meet with Ezekiel. Jesus decides it was time to meet with Ezekiel because they were having a hard time convincing people from the Hilltop to join them in the war.
The report said that Rick and his group had decided to stand up to the Saviors and went to Hilltop to seek out numbers to join them. But the plea for help didn't sit well with Hilltop's current leader Gregory (Xander Berkeley).
So what can fans expect to happen when "The Walking Dead" Season 7 resumes? Well according to Reedus, fans can expect the battles that will happen in the second half of the season will be "epic."
"There are a bunch of groups, and like everything on this show, everything comes to a head eventually," Reedus told the ComicBook. "There are definitely scenes shot that are as epic and as large."
Reedus also said that he and the cast were in "awe" about the work being put in creating Ezekiel's tiger Shiva. He said that it was "so well done and it's such a complicated thing to do." He adds that it was amazing and mind-blowing.
He didn't provide any spoilers, though when asked if he had already acted beside the animatronic beast. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 resumes on February 12, 2017, and it promises an uprising. Check out the trailer for episode 9 and the mid-season finale clip in the video below.
