‘Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale’ Latest News & Updates: Movie Ends With Shocking Teaser

Reki Kawahara's "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" is finally opened in Japan last Saturday and fans are really excited to see what the movie has to offer. The movie starts of a week and a half after the events of "Sword Art Online II" anime series. A new device called Augma was taking the country by storm and the protagonists tried the product to find out that its not safe as it was advertised.

According to Anime News Network, the movie will be release in the US theaters on March 9 as part of a one-night event brought by Fathom Events. The event will also include exclusive freebies for fans like the the special appearances of the voice actors Yoshitsugu Matsuoka who plays Kirito and Haruka Tomatsu who voiced Asuna. The tickets for the events are available for purchase where online or in participating theaters nationwide.

In the movie, the new product, Augma turned the world into a game where every people can earn rewards for anything that they do when they are wearing the device. The best-selling Augma application is the hit ARMMORPG (Augmented Reality MMORPG) game, Ordinal Scale. The popular game turns Tokyo into a massive battlefield spawning monsters for the players to defeat.

Kirito showed no sign of interest for the 'Augmented Reality' game and still preferred the full-dive system of the Amusphere. He remained playing in Virtual Reality while his friends joined in the new craze until he discovered rumors that the game feature monsters that once appeared in the death game "Sword Art Online".

At the end of the movie, film makers laid a small teaser that say "SAO will return". This probably hints the upcoming next chapter of the anime series which will be based from the 'Project Alicization Art'.

Meanwhile, Sony promotes their Hi-Res Audio headphones in "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" as reported by Crunchy Roll. Characters from the movie are portrayed wearing h.ear Wireless NC MDR-100ABN CINNABAR RED and MDR-1000X BEIGE headphones priced at $307 and $400 respectively.
