'Re:Creators' Anime Preview: Cast And Theme Song Introduced For Spring 2017 Release

The second preview for the upcoming television anime "Re:Creators" brings to the table the show's cast and theme song. "Black Lagoon" creator Rei Hiroe will contribute to the anime as its writer, concept creator, and character designer.

The latest teaser was publicized on the official website of "Re:Creators" on Friday. It gives us a look at the characters and their stories as they gain "intention" and search for the gods who created them. Aside from this description from the show's website, no further details about its story has been released.

The upcoming television anime is directed by Ei Aoki (Aldnoah.Zero, Fate/Zero) in his studio, TROYCA. Aoki is working alongside Hiroe for the series composition while Makoto Kato (Beautiful Bones: Sakurako's Investigation) serves as the assistant director. Other members of the crew include Ryuichi Makino (Girls Bravo, Wandering Son) who will be adapting Hiroe's character designs as chief animator together with Jun Nakai (GATE, Mardock Scramble films), I-IV (Aldnoah.Zero) who will be the mechanical designer, and Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Blue Exorcist) as the anime's music composer. The introduced characters of the anime include Sôta Mizushino (Daiki Yamashita), an introvert who loves anime and video games, Celejia Yupitilia (Mikako Komatsu), a heroine of a fantasy anime, Meteora Ôsterreich (Inori Minase), a sage character in an RPG video game, and Alisteria February (Yôko Hikasa), the daughter of a nobleman from an anime and manga among others. The new anime series is set to premiere on April 2017. A manga adaptation will also begin publication in Q2 2017. "Re:Creators" will premiere on ABC Asahi Broadcasting, BS11, Gunma TV, Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, and TV Aichi.
