The design for the newest character of "My Hero Academia" Season 2, Hitoshi Shinso, has been revealed. While a new TV spot for season 2, which features the two lead characters Izuku 'Deku' Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo, is also launched.
According to a report from Anime News Network, the design of Shinso, a student of class 1-C and is voiced by Wataru Hatano, was revealed in the official website of "My Hero Academia" on Monday. The new character for season 2 has a "Quirk of Brainwashing" and is aiming to be admitted to the academy's Hero Department.
The report adds that Shinso will be joining new characters Mei Hatsume, Itsuka Kendo, Ibara Shiozaki, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, and Neito Monoma. While Season 2 of "My Hero Academia" will be featuring several new characters but the new series will still feature the two lead characters.
Megan Peters of ComicBook reports that TOHO Animation has released a brand-new TV spot to celebrate the upcoming of the anime series' new season. The new spot highlight's the series' lead characters.
Peters said that the TV spot is only 30 seconds long, but it features Deku and Katsuki the anime series' "volatile rivals." Season one saw Katsuki continuously bully Deku in their old school before the latter was given superpowers.
Peters adds that their clash continued in their new school but Deku began to be noticed more due to his heroic traits and Katsuki's inferiority complex. The new TV spot showcased several clips of season 2 and she said the ending scene of the clip featured Deku and Katsuki clashing in a battle.
She theorized that the scene looks to be taken from the manga's original Sports Festival story arc. "My Hero Academia" Season 2 will debut on March 25 with a season 1 recap episode and April 1 will be the actual debut of season 2. Check out the new trailer in the video below.
