LG Electronics has dubbed the upcoming G6's 5.7-inch QHD+ display as Full Vision. This is to underline the bezel-less smartphone's display will allegedly occupy the entire smartphone's front.
LG Electronics has been drip-feeding hints after hints of their upcoming flagship phone with no official name yet but tech people coined as LG G6. The most recent leak is about Full Vision. This refers to the fact, or the claim, that the LG G6's front will be almost all screen.
LG Electronics has already relayed its next innovation in smartphone screens recently. The company, according to Slash Gear boasted its LG Display, which produces 18:9 panel. The ratio basically implies that the LG G6 will have its screen with length/height exactly twice its width. In addition, the company, in a way formally admitted that the said screen would be on its next flagship, which, for the sake of convenience, we will refer to as the LG G6.
Last month, ZDNet reported that LG Electronics hinted the LG G6 would have a bigger screen with a smaller body. Furthermore, it will most likely be waterproof with improved multimedia features that make use of the longer screen. LG Display, LG Electronics' display-making affiliate, affirmed this. The affiliate recently said it would be supplying the new display for the phone.
LG Electronics allegedly gave the LG G6 screen a nickname, Full Vision. The challenge and the achievement that LG wants to underline is its move of increasing the screen real estate without having to increase the screen size, more so, the phone size. The LG G6 reportedly would have no size increase as compared to its forerunner but still end up with a larger screen size, packed with QHD+ 2880×1440 resolution and 18:9 (2:1) aspect ratio. All of this leaks, speculations, and predictions will be proven, however, at 26th at MWC 2017, when LG Electronics reveals its effort to seize the crown from longtime rival Samsung.
