Hideo Kojima, in a recent blog by PlayStation, has disclosed more details about his upcoming title, "Death Stranding." The video game auteur revealed that the game will not exactly be dark in nature and will not be a horror game. In fact, it will have a little of humor just enough not to ruin the setting. He was quoted saying that he just wanted "Death Stranding" to be unique, something that gamers have not seen before.

"Death Stranding" is set to release in 2018. The game will be launched exclusively to PS4. Den of Geek notes that Kojima confirmed the game's release date before the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. He further stated that it would be released before a year in which "Akira" will be out. "Akira" is a movie set to lunch on 2019.

Death Stranding will be an action game with open world elements. Hideo Kojima, however, clarified that it will be a different kind of action game, which gives emphasis to player interactions and not just trying to kill each other.
