Marvel's latest venture into TV programming will be about its "Inhumans" franchise, which is already in Hawaii to film for several episodes of the show. This latest TV show will first be showing in IMAX theaters and then to the television sets via ABC.
According to a tweet from Reel News Hawaii, the production crew for Marvel's Inhumans is already on the island. The tweet confirmed the rumors about the location for the filming of the show.
The tweet adds that the crew is in the process of setting up for the filming. The production team is planning to shoot several episodes of the show through June.
Caleb Borchers of MCU Exchange said that Marvel filming the TV series in Hawaii is interesting because it shows the company's hand on this decision. The early parts of the "Inhumans" story show them living on an island in the Atlantic before moving to the mountains.
Brochers said that shooting in Hawaii would be good for the series if it will focus on the early foundation of the race. He adds the proximity to water will also be helpful for stories that have Triton.
Choosing Hawaii as a location also shows that ABC is willing to spend money to produce a good show, Brochers adds. Marvel's new TV series will be coming to both theaters and televisions.
Screen Rant reports that "Inhumans," which is an eight-part miniseries, will first debut in IMAX theaters. The show's first two episodes will be available in theaters for two weeks then the rest of the episodes will move to ABC.
The report adds that the show is targeted to be released in September and it will be the "first example of something of this caliber being attempted." Check out the explanation about Marvel's Inhumans in the video below.
