In as much as we're all looking forward to the gifts we'll receive this Christmas, there's just some-or many-that don't make the cut. Good news is, a Burger King joint in Miami will be giving out Whoppers in exchange for those unwanted gifts-so be sure to gather all those sweaters, candles, toiletries, and what have you.
Just show up at the Burger King joint located at 910 Arthus Godfrey Road in Miami Beach on December 26, from 10:30AM to 5:00PM, and BK employees will welcome you. However, only unused gifts will be accepted and "the acceptability of the item will be determined by Burger King Restaurant personnel in their sole discretion," according to a spokesperson for the popular fast food chain.
While this Miami location is the only US location, other Burger Kings found in London and Rio will join in the fun as well. If you're not in any of these locations, don't fret because you can still be a part of this fun holiday exchange by posting a photo of your unwanted gift with the hashtag #WhopperExchange on Instagram or Twitter. The first 100 people to post on December 26 are in for a special surprise according to the company's press release.
"At Burger King restaurants, we are always looking for ways to surprise our fans, no matter if they were good or naughty," said Fernando Machado, the SVP of Global Brand Management of Burger King. And indeed, this is a great way to give and receive this Christmas and a rather creative way of "exchanging" that gift that you really have no use for.
The best part of it all is that all unwanted gifts that are received by Burger King personnel will be donated to charity. Not only do you get rid of that outcast gift but you also get to eat that juicy flame-grilled burger and be part of a great cause.
