This means, Dean and Sam will try their best to help Crowley while at the same time head to race against Abaddon in finding the deadly weapon. Interestingly, actor Jensen Ackles revealed that Dean might be showing a much darker side in the all-new episode, but all the details are left vague until the upcoming episode airs tonight. :"With Abaddon and Crowley searching for the First Blade, Sam and Dean must recruit the air of a former Man of Letters to determine the Blade's location." Ackles told Zap2It. "To be honest, from the very beginning of the series, I always enjoyed Dean's comedic aspects and the humor in which he was portrayed, and whenever the situation got heavy or emotional, there was always a bit of levity that Dean was able to bring to the situation. And I really feel like he's been stripped of all that this year. He's going through something that he hasn't had to deal with before. It's heavy, and he's not able to find that lighter side in himself. As an actor, personally, after playing the character so much, to not being able to lighten it up, it's new territory. The official synopsis for Supernatural season 9 episode 16 reads: "CROWLEY SINKS DEEPER INTO HIS ADDICTION; NICOLE "SNOOKI" POLIZZI APPEARS IN A CAMEO ROLE - Dean (Jensen Ackles) is frustrated when he can't reach Crowley (Mark Sheppard), who has promised to find The First Blade. When Crowley finally calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean, he tells them he fell off the wagon and has been injecting human blood and needs their help. To make matters worse, he had a demon (guest star Rebecca Marshall) helping him find blood, but she sold him out and told Abaddon that he and the Winchesters were searching for The First Blade. The brothers need to find the blade before Abaddon does, so they enlist the help of a former member of the Men of Letters (guest star Kavan Smith). Meanwhile, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi appears in a cameo role."
