Why Supernatural Season 9 Episode 16 Is Not Airing Tonight!

Supernatural season 9 episode 16 is going to be one of the most intense episodes this season as Sam and Dean race against Abaddon in finding the First Blade. But before doing that the Winchester siblings must first find their now-friend Crowley and save him from his (ironically) inner demons: his addiction to human blood. Sounds interesting, eh? Unfortunately, Supernatural season 9 episode 16 is not going to air tonight. Show fans must wait for another week before they can view this exciting episode.

According to International Business Times, The CW has decided to put the show on another hiatus. Supernatural season 9 episode 16 is then expected to air come March 18th, 2014, on its regular time slot at 9/8c. You can mark your calendars as early as now, so you won't miss the episode when it finally airs. Although The CW has not justified why the show is on another break, but it's very fortunate enough that the network has released the official promotional clips for the upcoming episode. Based on what we have seen so far, the all-new episode will somehow be Crowley-centric, but then again our protagonist siblings are still focused on their goal of finding the only instrument that can slay Abaddon. Previously, we already found out that Dean and Crowley made this unlikely alliance of looking for a way to kill the remaining knight of hell, Abaddon. And Crowley revealed that the only instrument that can do this is the First Blade, the one Cain used in killing his brother Abel. In the upcoming episode, we will discover that Crowley has somehow lost track of his main purpose because of his addiction to human blood. He then calls for help from Dean and Sam, informing them that Abaddon now knows about their plan. The big question now is whether the Winchester siblings can find the First Blade before Abaddon does. Interestingly, Dean and Sam will resort to enlisting the assistance of someone, who can help them out in finding the blade. And that someone is a former member of the Men of Letters (Kavan Smith) - a secret organization of scholars who research on supernatural. Moreover, the much anticipated guest appearance of Snooki of Jersey Shore will be on the upcoming episode, but fans will be left speculating whether or not this petite demon is an alliance or a foe. Meanwhile, executive producer Jeremy Carver opened up about the show recently and he told Entertainment Weekly some interesting bits on what is to come. "It's going to be really interesting. It's going to be a combination of introducing some really really wonderful new characters into the mythology while also seeing a lot more of some of our favorite friends returning in the back half," he said. "And we're going to get an answer to where the heck Garth (DJ Qualls) has been this whole time and viewers will remember he sort of went AWOL when put in charge of guarding Kevin back in season 8 and we'll answer this question, and I think it will be surprising."
