Fans have been really delighted in Ant-Man's surprise appearance at the "Captain America: Civil War" where he showcased his new ability that turns himself into a giant. We recently had news that the shrinking superhero will have a sequel story coming up and that it is now about to go on production. "Ant-Man and the Wasp" will feature the return of our favorite characters like the talkative Luis and the gang's hacker Kurt.
Back in June 2015, we are introduced to a new character named Scott Lang that inherited Hank Pym's Ant-Man suit. We witnessed the former master thief turning into a superhero with superhuman strength, shrinking abilities, and control to various species of ants. His involvement with the Avengers on "Civil War" gave him a ticket into the superhero group and now, another chapter of his adventure is about to unfold.
According to Comic Book, David Dastmalchian who played the Russian hacker named Kurt will reprise his role in the sequel. Michael Peña who played Scott's Mexican inmate named Luis will also return in the upcoming "Ant-Man and the Wasp" movie. Obviously, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily and Michael Douglas will star in the upcoming film as Ant Man, Wasp and Hank Pym respectively.
In other reports, director Payton Reed teased that the new movie will feature a brand-new suit and equipment for Ant-Man as reported by CBR. Reed also mentioned that the suit used in the first movie was meant to be an old one to show that it was a relic that Dr. Hank Pym used in the past. The new movie will see the suit evolve into a modernized technology and Reed even hinted that Ant-Man can now do new and stranger things.
Reed also added that the shrinking and growing ability will not only be limited in the Ant Man suit and he said that maybe it could be imbued with vehicles of something else. As for the Wasp, it was revealed at the end of the first movie that the suit was still in possession of Dr. Pym and his daughter will become its new user. Janet Van Dyne, Pym's wife have originally used the suit and when Reed was questioned if Janet will return from the quantum realm, he answered that only time will tell. "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is slated to hit the theaters on July 6, 2018.
