'13 Reasons Why' Season 2 Should Happen After Cliffhanger Finale, Fan Theories Need Answers

The Netflix original series "13 Reasons Why" is based on a book by Jay Asher, and it has 13 episodes. It follows Clay Jensen in his quest for truth regarding his classmate and crush, Hannah Baker, and her decision to end her life. The show is critically acclaimed, and it is even called as Netflix's most popular show on social media.

The reason why "13 Reasons Why" is very popular because it is intense and moving. Sure, it's dark, but it focuses on the effects of suicide and how killing yourself will affect those who will be left behind. Also, when people heard that the show will be produced by Selena Gomez, many got curious to watch it.

The show dropped on March 31, and according to E! Online, the series finale is a cliffhanger, and fans are now calling for a Season 2. Many fans formulated theories about the show, including Alex's shooting. Some think that he didn't try to kill himself, but that Tyler shot him.

Elite Daily reported that Tyler has bought a gun, and the finale show him starting his own arsenal. But if Alex did try to kill himself, does that mean that he is guilty for being on Hannah's tapes? Another question that needs to be answered is, there are more names on the tape. Are they going to go down one by one?

All these questions - and more - are proof that there really should be a "13 Reasons Why" Season 2. Even Asher said he would like a continuation of the characters. He said that he is also curious about what's going to happen to Clay, and how people would react to what Alex did.

Asher said that he can't say whether there will be a "13 Reasons Why" Season 2. However he also said that there are ways to go "with a second season." "Things weren't left open in the hopes of a sequel...There is no end for the characters left behind," he added. Netflix has not yet confirmed nor denied, but many are hoping that they will make an announcement soon.
