The wait is over as the spin-off series, "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" will be making its debut today after the hit anime series "Naruto Shippuden" ended last March. The franchise will continue with Naruto's eldest child, named Boruto. Though the heroes of the previous series will be still making appearances, the focus of the story will shift to the new generation of ninjas and their own children.
The story will see the continuation of the "Naruto" series after the Fourth Great Ninja War where the time of peace ushered great technological advancements to Konoha. Uzumaki Naruto has fulfilled his childhood dream and is now serving as the 7th Hokage of the village. He has a family of his own where he and his wife, Hyuuga Hinata are living a happy life with their two children, Boruto and Himawari.
According to Celebeat, the new anime series will not follow the manga of the same name that is currently ongoing. Apart from the knowledge of everyone the spin-off manga series was not authored by Masashi Kishimoto. The series was written by Ukyo Kodachi and illustrated by Kishimoto's chief assistant, Mikio Ikemoto and was serialized in Shueisha's Shonen Jump Magazine. Kishimoto will still be involved in the project where he will oversee and supervise the overall progress of the anime.
Previously, Viz Media has acquired the rights for the digital broadcast, home media and merchandising rights for the North and Latin American release of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations." As for the simulcasts, Viz Media has joined with Hulu where the series will debut the same day the most-awaited anime will premiere on Japan. Crunchyroll will also simulcast the anime on April 5 at 5:25 A.M. ET. as reported by Comic Book.
Boruto will be accompanied by Sasuke and Sakura's daughter named Sarada together with Orochimaru's artificial son Mitsuki. The three of them will go as a team that will be mentored by Naruto's protege, Konohamaru as they do their missions and adventures.
