All good things must come to an end, even for one of the most beloved anime series in the world like "Naruto Shippuden." It's been a while since the hit anime has caught up to Masashi Kishimoto's manga series where the show makers are animating epilogue canon novels featuring vital characters of the anime. The final episode of the series was aired last March 23 and it featured the most awaited wedding of the titular hero, Naruto and HyugaHinata.
It's been really heartbreaking for fans to see their beloved series ending and with the show makers showing no intent of continuing the series, they've got no choice but to bid Naruto goodbye. The orange ninja's story concluded with its 500th episode after more than a decade of providing entertainment and teaching kids the value of friendship. Fans have become emotional as they expressed their goodbyes in various social media platforms.
As for Naruto's wedding, the grand event was attended by the groom and bride's friends and other big ninja personalities like Gaara, Killer Bee and the sixth Hokage, HatakeKakashi. Iruka took the role of father for his student whom he treated as his own. Naruto's ultimate rival and best friend even made a surprise appearance to everyone's astonishment as reported by Comic Book.
Our first encounter with Naruto was back in 2002 where he is portrayed as a loudmouth ninja that was branded as an outcast by the whole village he lived in. After several years, it was followed by "Naruto Shippuden" in 2007 showing his comeback as an adolescent ninja. All in all, the franchise has 720 episodes, 11 feature films and many more video games for multiple platforms.
Though it is goodbye for "Naruto Shippuden," the franchise will go live on with an upcoming spin-off series that will be titled "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations." According to Droid Report, the baton will be passed on to Naruto's son named Boruto whose story will kick off on April 5. The new series will be focusing on a new set of characters such as Boruto, Sasuke's daughter Sarada and Urochimaru's artificial child named Mitsuki.
