Meanwhile, The Daily Mail reported that one actress in the series has opened up about the trauma she experienced due to the show. Tammy MacIntosh, who plays Karen Proctor, opened up that preparing for the role has caused such havoc on her emotions.

She admits to crying at random times, exclaiming that in delving into her character's persona, she needed to go to a dark place. She became vulnerable and overwhelmed because of it. It seems that her subconscious was affected as she watched YouTube videos of women who were abused by their spouses and partners in order to better prepare for the role.
