George Clooney is in the news for many reasons:
Humanitarian.
Crazy love life.
And, oh yeah, being an actor.
However, on January 25, 2013, he had made the news for a selfless reason.
While on location in Germany to film, "The Monuments Men," he and his entourage stopped into a diner--at the end of his visit, one man left with a free meal.
"The actor was dining in Berlin when he took care of the stranger's bill - conscious that his group may have been too rowdy," according to Digital Spy.
According to Softpedia "The bill was of over €100 (£86 / $134.3)," but that is nothing for the actor who's network, according to celebnetworth.org is $160 million.
United Press International (UPI) reported that the gentleman was in shock upon hearing the news that his bill had be taken care of by the actor.
"The waiter told him George Clooney was behind the gesture [because] the actor thought he and his friends, who were seated at the next table, had disturbed the man," according to UPI.
But, the gentleman didn't feel annoyed at all, "That's not true at all. They had behaved in a very cultivated manner. I was stunned," the gentleman said to Bild newspaper.
For Clooney, a man who isn't a strange to headlines, is rarely in the news for events such as these, which is why this gesture has been the talk of Hollywood. "People can't stop talking about how awesome he was the other night when he paid for a stranger's diner," according to Softpedia.
