‘My Hero Academia’ Season 2 TV Spot Features Lead Characters Deku And Bakugo

TOHO Animation had released a brand new TV spot for "My Hero Academia" Season 2. The TV spot highlighted the two lead characters of the hit manga turned anime in Izuku 'Deku' Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo.

According to a report from ComicBook, the 30-second clip reintroduces the fans to the two superheroes, who are "volatile rivals." The video provided fans with some footage for the upcoming season of the hit anime series.

The report said that the end of the video looks as if season 2 will feature "Sports Festival" story arc. The scene showed Deku and Bakugo locked in a battle in front of spectators. Bakugo has already unleashed his quirk while Deku was seen defending it.

Season 1 featured the two characters in their old school, where Bakugo "mercilessly" bullied and tormented Deku, according to the report. But things became different when the world's top hero, All-Might, gave Deku super powers.

The two characters, though, continued to butt heads in their new school, but because of his inferiority complex and Deku's gaining popularity due to his heroic traits, Bakugo struggled in their new school. Anime News Network reported that director Kenji Nagasaki will be returning for season 2, as well as Yousuke Kuroda to write and oversee the series' scripts.

The report adds that also returning for season 2 of "My Hero Academia" are Yuuki Hayashi, for the series' music composition, and Yoshihiko Umakoshi, as chief animation director and for character design. The entire cast of season 1 will also be returning for season 2.

The hit series will also have new casts joining, lead by Inada Tetsu, as the voice of Endeavor and Wataru Hatano, who will be voicing new character Hitoshi Shinsou. Completing the new cast will be Azu Sakura, who will voice Mei Hatsume, Saki Ogasawara, as the voice of Itsuka Kendou, Miho Masaka, as the voice of Ibara Shiozaki, Kouji Okino, as Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, and Kohei Amasaki, who will voice Neito Monoma.
