‘Stranger Things' Creators Thinking More Seasons For The Show, But Would Want To Avoid Letdown Finish

With season 2 of "Stranger Things" set to debut in October this year, the creators of the show are already thinking of having more seasons for the hit series. However, they also want to avoid having a letdown finish, so they're not planning to let the show go on forever.

The creators Matt and Ross Duffer, an interview with Entertainment Weekly, said the show could last four or five seasons. But could still change, depending on how things will go.

"Everything changes as we move forward so we'll see," says Ross. He added that they want season 2 to feel like a long movie, similar to how season 1 felt.

"Hopefully you'll come to the end of season 2 and feel fully satisfied and want more but you'll feel like it has come to a conclusion," he said. "But also we've laid the ground work for further seasons."

Despite laying the groundwork for further seasons, the brothers don't want "Stranger Things" to drag on forever. "I don't want it to be one of those shows that runs out of gas and they lose it because they're losing interest," Matt said. He adds that they want to end on top.

Matt Dolloff of Screen Rant said that this could mean the Duffer brothers could surprise a lot of fans and end the series on a time when it's still going strong. They want to avoid what a lot of successful shows have experienced towards the end, fizzling out in their respective final seasons.

Dolloff said it's expected for season 2 to continue the show's popularity, following the huge success that season 1 experienced. But with the Duffer brothers already thinking beyond season 2, he hopes that they don't get too ahead of themselves.

"Stranger Things" Season 2 is expected to premiere on October 31, 2017, on Netflix. Check out the show's short teaser for season 2 in the video below.
