Experience the Stars at Joshua Tree's Night Sky Festival

This year, Joshua Tree promises an unforgettable weekend. You can explore the national park and enjoy local food and accommodations in the Joshua Tree Gateway Communities. Tickets for the festival vary in price, with events like the evening star watch starting at $50.

The festival isn't just about stargazing but a full experience also. According to Travel and Leisure, Last year, hundreds of people attended. They enjoyed a live music performance under the night sky, learned about photography, viewed stars through telescopes, and participated in fun activities for kids.

The festival was so popular last year that it sold out.

If you can't make it to the festival this time, don't worry. The observatory also offers a monthly night sky program. It happens on the Saturday closest to a new moon. Mark your calendars for upcoming dates on Sep. 28, Nov. 2, and Dec. 28. Be quick, though-the July event has already sold out!

When you visit Joshua Tree for the festival or other activities, remember to use only red lights at night. This helps everyone enjoy the stars without bright light pollution. Also, pack plenty of food and water.

The park gets very hot during the day but can be cool at night, so dressing in layers is a smart choice. So, if you're a seasoned star watcher or just looking for a unique weekend getaway, the Night Sky Festival at Joshua Tree is the perfect place to be amazed by the universe.
