Spending time in a nice warm place with the sun kissing your skin is the perfect definition of a holiday vacation. However, Abu Dhabi takes it to another level with it's latest resort hotspot--a desert hotel will definitely give travelers that hot weather that they're after.
Anantara's Qasr Al Sarab resort and hotel is located in the world's largest uninterrupted sand desert, the Rub'Al Khali. It's a great experience for guests to witness the vast wilderness of the famous desert. But aside from that, CNN reported that the resort also offers luxurious amenities like private pools, world-class restaurants, elegant villas and spas.
According to Qasr Al Sarab, the hotel also offers a wide range of activities for guests. The resort has tennis courts and an archery range. It also offers outdoor activities like fat biking, desert walks, dune bashing and falconry.
But the most beautiful part of the resort is that it's located on the edge of the world. Rub'Al Khali translates to Empty Quarter and it does live up to its name. The desert would just stretch out for miles with pure emptiness and nothingness.
The idea of this unique resort all started when the developers thought of building a place that will serve as a refuge for the busy cities of the UAE. Construction began back in 2007 and the name Qasr Al Sarab, which means "mirage" in English, is the perfect name for a luxurious resort in the middle of a desert.
It really appears like an illusion from a distance when you're traversing the vast desert. Its fortress-like appearance that is tinted with the colors of iron and copper gives it that shining look.
Abu Dhabi's desert hotel is one item that should be on every traveler's bucket list. It's the perfect place to get lost out in the wilderness while staying at a beautiful accommodation.
