Recently, a report has been made about the countries which expats think are ideal places for establishing a home. 19 countries were voted on and the Philippines ranked 17th in the world's best countries to raise a family.

There are lots of things to consider when relocating to another country and to start raising your family. Expats need to think about education, safety, cost of living and the activities that you can do in the country.

InterNations, a worldwide network group of people who are working and living in foreign countries, did a survey on how life is living abroad. Independent reported that the 19 countries' ranks were based on 43 categories. Each country was rated on a scale of 1-7 for each category.

A country must have at least 31 participants for it to be included in the survey. Each must also have dependents and they must rate different life aspects like healthcare, education, safety and childcare.

The Philippines got 17th place and Business Insider reported on how expats feel about the country. "The country is one of the best in the world for quality education, for family well-being and being a place that has a friendly attitude towards children, according to expats."

The top five countries that were included in the best countries to raise a family were (in descending order) Finland, Czech Republic, Israel, Austria and Sweden. Finland topped the list because there weren't any bad comments to say with regards to child care, safety, healthcare and wellness. In fact, the survey states that 70% of the expats thought that Sweden offers excellent and quality education.

Here's a complete list of the 19 countries in descending order: Finland, Czech Republic, Israel, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Australia, Taiwan, Belgium, Germany, France, Poland, Netherlands, Luxembourg, South Africa, Singapore, Philippines, Mexico and South Korea.
