There's a new trend in town that thousands of people are getting hyped about. Raden, a travel-goods company, recently released a smart luggage with high-tech features that would surely change travel forever. Reports say that 10,000 people are now wait-listed for the latest product.
The 8.4-pound bag is called A22 carry and it was released into the market 10 months ago. More than 20,000 units were purchased by customers and the company is now trying to keep up with the demand. There's already online orders placed by customers that will ship on April 18.
According to The Daily Mail, it comes in two sizes and the A series is the company's first generation of smart luggage. The A22 carry is the smaller bag which costs $295 dollars while the A28 check costs $395 and is the bigger bag that goes into the cargo. But buying the whole set is cheaper and would cost $595.
The bag includes a built-in battery for users to charge their mobile devices and other gadgets. It also has a traveling application that would determine the weight of the luggage.
The app also gives real-time updates with regards to traffic, delays, weather conditions and flight deals. The Bluetooth technology installed in the unit allows the users to know the location of the bag if it gets lost.
A lot of famous celebrities have shown interest in Raden's new product which even increased the smart luggage's popularity. New York Post reported reported that NBA player Draymond Green bought one bag each for his Golden State Warriors teammates. Other well-known clients who also purchased the bag are Charlotte Tilbury, Tory Burch, Oprah Winfrey, Jessica Alba and Gigi Hadid.
Currently, the company is selling the units online and only ships to customers based in US and Canada. However, the company is also planning to open more shops if things get going for them.
