Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) is getting a makeover in preparation for the new attractions and entertainment set to open this year. The Town Center, in particular, has some new touches for future guests to enjoy.
Aside from new restaurants, boutiques and international shops are new open at the Town center such as Uniqlo, Zara, Kate Spade New York, and a Coca-Cola Store-a shop where varieties of Coca-cola items can be bought. A rooftop bar is also available for guests who like to enjoy coke-inspired cocktails and other drinks.
For Disney Springs' new restaurants set to open this year, take a look at this list:
The Polite Pig. Set to open this coming spring, The Polite Pig is related to the other restaurant in Orlando called "The Ravenous Pig." Owned by James and Julie Petrakis, the menu will mostly consist of savory grilled and smoked food items, and all of the drinks will be served on tap.
PaddleFish. On the site where Fulton's Crab House and Empress Lilly once stood, this new restaurant will serve delicious seafood and steaks in a luxury yacht inspired interior. For guests dining on late nights, a new rooftop lounge is available for you.
Frontera Cocina. An upcoming Mexican restaurant will also open its doors in the newly renovated Town center in Disney Springs. It will be managed by Chef Rick Bayless, where guests will be treated with the finest Mexican dishes you could ever find.
Planet Hollywood Observatory. Celebrity chef Guy Fieri is heading up this newly-opened restaurant in the Town Center. The specialties include deluxe burgers and sandwiches that won't make you mind getting your hands dirty.
The Edison. Disney Springs' loyal customers should also look out for the opening of The Edison this coming spring. According to undercovertourist, "resembling a 1920's electric company power plant, The Edison will feature food, cocktails, live entertainment, cabaret and music."
