POTUS (President of the United States) showed up in FBI seeking Shelby Wyatt's help in calling off an upcoming airstrike on a building where terrorists and their hostages stays. As the two met, Shelby just affronted President Haas saying that she got the job she always wanted. However, the President just casted off the remark and proceeded with asking the FBI agent her help.
Shelby quickly responded that she is the POTUS, she is the Commander in Chief and all she has to do is say the word. President Claire Haas responds that the agent didn't understand because she helped in creating the rogue group within CIA as reported by TVLine. She passed the bill that called for autonomous mistake of black ops with 10 percent of the budget set aside and eventually used to create the AIC.
President Haas needs Shelby to renounce the white paper she wrote about the rogue group, AIC because it will show that the President created the group on purpose which she didn't. To protect her job, she can't just order the cancellation of the airstrike as this will show that she is protecting the rogue faction. As the two argued about the best course of action the airstrike makes its way to the danger zone with full of hostages as reported by Buddy TV.
The two of them continued into their heated conversation as the airstrike gets close to the target. When the strike team was finally 15 seconds in bombing the place, President Haas finally ordered the mission off. Instead of the bombing mission there will be an intense hostage rescue mission that will be shown in the epic season finale of "Quantico".
