Bandai Namco had just come out with a trailer for its second and last expansion, "Dark Soul III: The Ringed City." The new DLC, which will be available on March 28, offers players and fans of the game new adventures and much more.
According to Crunchyroll, Bandai said the new DLC will involve players chasing the Slave Knight Gael to the literal end of the world before he accomplishes his goal. The slave knight is searching for the Dark Soul of Humanity.
Bandai adds that players will be encountering a new cast of characters that are close to becoming insane, ancient beasts, new weapons, armor, and magic. But on top of all of that players will be encountering a lost city that has a lot of horrors and challenges for them to overcome.
Jason Enos, the marketing director for Bandai, said that the new DLC will bring players "toe-to-claw against massive beasts in a twisted descent into the bowels of the end of the world," according to a report from Eddie Makuch of Game Spot. Enos adds that "The Ringed City's environment was crafted by FromSoftware.
He said they "crafted visually arresting environments that evoke a sense of destroyed beauty and nail-biting encounters that will leave players breathless for more." The new DLC will be available for purchase for $15 or a part of "Dark Soul III's" $25 season pass. Those who avail of the season pass will also have access to the game's first DLC, "Ashes of Ariandel."
The "Dark Soul III: The Ringed City" will be available for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The game Bandai developed was also the fifth most played game on Steam last year, according to an analysis by GitHyp. Check out the first video trailer for the game's final expansion in the video below.
