Fans of the much awaited "Resident Evil 7" will have the option of availing of a season pass, where banned footages and an additional story episode will be available. The game will also be more focused on the horror side, but entertainment will still be part of the game.
According to GamingBolt, players who avail of the season pass will be getting two volumes of banned footages. Volume 1 contains the footages "Nightmare," "Bedroom," and "Ethan Must Die." Volume 2 will include "21," "Daughters," and "Jack's 55th Birthday."
Season pass holders will also be getting an additional story episode, though details weren't revealed. Players will need to shell out $30 to avail of the season pass.
But before players try to figure out what kind of additional story episode they will get if they purchase the season pass, they should also know that "Resident Evil 7" will be focusing on the horror side. This is confirmed by Series Producer Masachika Kawata in an interview with GamingBolt.
He said that this latest installment "emphasizes more on the horror side." But he also notes that they still tried to incorporate entertainment into the game, saying they tried to "include as many unique elements as possible that people will enjoy."
One way that Kawata and his team did this is through the main character's interaction with the Baker family, which will be frequent in the game. He said players will get to see the unique personalities of the each member of the Baker family in their dialogues with the character, which they feel would add an additional way to enjoy the game.
Capcom's "Resident Evil 7" will be available on January 24, 2017, the same date players can purchase the season pass. But for those looking to experience the game in real-life, the company will be holding "The Experience," an event to let players experience the game in real life, in London on January 20 until the 23rd.
