‘Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challenge’ Offers New Characters, New Mode; Trailer Shows First Person Hadouken

The partnership between Nintendo and Capcom continues as "Ultimate Street Fighter II: The Final Challenge" will be made available to the Nintendo Switch and will feature two new characters and a new mode. But the trailer for the game shows a weird scene towards the end, a first person Hadouken.

According to Capcom's website, they will be introducing two new characters to the game for the first time in nearly 20 years, Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. This version of Ryu is a character that is obsessed with fighting to prove that he is the strongest, as the Satsui no Hado (Dark Hado) has already overcome him and has removed his honorable self.

Violent Ken, on the other hand, is a character that's the result of M.Bison's brainwashing, the company said. The villain enhanced Ken's abilities with Psycho Power and turned his brotherly love for Ryu into hatred. The new character's moves now have purple flames, instead of his usual fire.

Aside from new characters, Capcom also said that players now have the option of teaming up to fight against the CPU at the same time. The unique Joy-Con controllers allow this kind of feature.

The new "Street Fighter" game has a trailer but towards the end of the video, it features a quick scene wherein a first person Hadouken takes place and it hits M.Bison. Nick Valdez of Destructoid speculates that the scene could be part of the game. He adds it could also be Street Fighter Executive Producer Yoshinori Ono "stealth-announcing" a new mode that is coming to "Street Fighter V."

You can check out the trailer for "Street Fighter II: The Final Challenge" in the video below. Street Fighter is just one of many games that have been officially announced for the Nintendo Switch, which will be released on March 3, 2017, for $299.99.
