A recent leak from EB Games Australia's website about the games and the box art for the Nintendo Switch is false. However, leaked information about the new features of "Mario Kart 8" for the Switch looks to be confirmed.
According to Matthew Hayes of WWG, the games, the box art, as well as the description of the added feature for "Mario Kart 8," found on the box art are false. Vooks editor Daniel Vuckovic admitted that he was the one who put those image on the website.
Vuckovic posted on Twitter the images that he created, saying he made them because he was "REALLY bored." He adds that he used Webdev tools to put the images into the EB Games' website.
The new features of "Mario Kart" that was mentioned in the art box, could still be true, though, according to Emily Rogers, who Hayes said is an insider. Rogers wrote in a post last November that a source close to Nintendo said the game's version for the Nintendo Switch will feature several exclusive contents.
These contents are a battle mode that has been improved upon, new characters that are playable, and new tracks. She also added that the game is planned to be released within the first three months of The Switch's launch.
Though what she reported were rumors, Rogers said recently in a tweet that she expects to be right on the rumors about "Mario Kart" and "Mother 3." She also said that she expects to be wrong about her post on "The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," saying it will come "in March."
Check out the 200cc gameplay of all 48 tracks of "Mario Kart 8" in the video below. In other news, it looks like Rockstar doesn't have any plans of releasing "Red Dead Redemption 2" to the Nintendo Switch console.
