The next episode of "Jane the Virgin" is set to air on January 23, but this early on fans of the show are already rejoicing. The CW has reportedly renewed the show for season 4, along with other hit shows of the network, namely "Arrow," "The Flash," "Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow."
In the winter finale of the show, fans were left with questions about some important characters of the show. First is of course the bombshell that Rafael is not a Solano. Apparently, his mother lost a baby, and Rafael, who was born in Italy at that time, was brought to the US and grew up in the Solano household.
Aside from that is the very shady Catalina. Jane was highly suspicious of her in the winter finale episode after finding cash and jewelry in her bag, Catalina spins a story that the jewelry are heirlooms. Jane was apologetic, but there might be some truth to her suspicion given that Catalina met up with a foreigner in her hotel room. All these are expected to find a conclusion in the next episodes of the show.
Upon learning of the renewal of "Jane the Virgin" for season 4, Gina Rodriguez , who plays the titular character, and her co-stars posted their reactions to the news on their social media accounts, as reported by Latin Times.
Aside from Gina Rodriguez, her co-stars Yael Grobglas , who plays Petra Solano, and Jamie Camil, who plays her father Rogelio Dela Vega, also showed their enthusiasm in learning of the renewal of "Jane the Virgin" for season 4.
The next episodes of the show will prove to be interesting, as Access Hollywood states that Gina Rodriguez learned Muay Thai in preparation for changes that her character Jane will undergo. While Gina was not specific regarding those changes, some are speculating that it might have to do with Michael wanting to quit his work as a detective.
