DC Universe Will Introduce More Characters This Year; CW Network Does Not Want To Create Another DC related Series

Geoff Johns, Dc Comic chief creative officer, has a lot of new DC characters in store this year. CW Network, home to some DC superheroes, is not ready for more DC characters. The DC executive teased more projects that will be coming this year that include Doctor Manhattan from "Watchmen." It is reported that Doctor Manhattan might have a huge role to play in the DC Universe.

Polygon reported that there might be a new DC series that will join the ranks of "The Flash," "Arrow," "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow." However, this might come as a long shot because CW president Mark Pedowitz explained that they are not interested in creating a superhero show yet.

Pedowitz explained that there is still no discussion about adding superhero characters in their network. He said that they are proud that they were able to build a universe where DC superheroes can interact.

The site explained that Fox picked DC superhero "Black Lightning." A retired superhero that had to put on his costume once again after his daughter got mixed up with the wrong crowd

Despite this, there are still not much details regarding the new Fox show. Even though, DC executives are getting ready to officially announce the cast of the new DC TV series.

Entertainment Weekly reported that there will be another unknown DC character that will appear this year. The site is uncertain if the character will come from the Arrow universe or will be another comic book character.

As for Geoff Johns, he tweeted that he will be writing new comics again. It can be remembered that he took a break after the launch of the comic book "Rebirth." The site also reported that his responsibility in the DC Universe also increased.

To date, DC executives are busy with two new movies "Justice League" and "Wonder Woman." Travelers Today reported that the female superhero will return on June 2017, while, the much-awaited DC Comics superhero movie will be shown in November 2017.
