'Transformers: The Last Knight' December Teaser Trailer Showed Optimus Prime Going Rogue

"Transformers: The Last Knight" is one of the most anticipated Science fiction/thriller film for 2017, and it will be released on June 23, 2017. The film is a continuation of the "Transformers: Age of Extinction," and a major twist of events was revealed on its teaser trailer.

The teaser trailer of "Transformers: The Last Knight" was released by Paramount Pictures on the 5th of December 2016, and it was narrated by Anthony Hopkins. In the last 30 seconds of the video Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) was revealed as he tries to attack Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) and Bumblebee.

However, Optimus Prime sounded like he is not willing to do it, and might just be controlled by the Creators. The Creators were hinted in "Transformers: Age of Extinction," and they are the ones who ordered Lockdown to head for Earth.

According to IGN, they got to speak with Josh Duhamel who plays the character William Lennox in the first three "Transformers" movies. He is now back in the "Transformers: The Last Knight" reprising his role after being absent in the "Transformers: Age of Extinction." In the upcoming movie, William Lennox is still in the military but is no longer in charge of his previous unit, "N.E.S.T".

Josh Duhamel also stated that the previous unit is not going to be part of the upcoming movie, and he is now in a new unit against the Autobots. The new unit is just somewhat against the Autobots at first, which was opposite of his previous task force.

There is another antagonist paramilitary group called The Transformer Response Force or TRF, and it is very similar to the vicious group Cemetery Wind. Josh Duhamel's new unit will be working with the TRF, and later on fight against them.

According to Forbes, Michael Bay's fifth "Transformers" movie is set to premiere on June 23, 2017, which was supposed to be the premiere date of "Wonder Woman." This is the same weekend that "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" was released, and "Transformers: Age of Extinction."

Is it possible that Optimus Prime might have been reprogrammed? What could be the reason behind his violence towards Cade Yeager and Bumblebee? Watch the teaser trailer below and subscribe for more updates!
