This coming "Supernatural" Season 12 the TV shows fans will expect more storylines that will be including more episodes of Castiel. Dean and Sam will be studying mysterious spell that can transform Dean into a more untroubled version of himself at the cost of losing memories of his own brother.
According to Yibada, in the back-half "Supernatural" Season 12, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) will continue their missions as they deal with the British Men of Letters, the threat of Lucifer's infant and new supernatural villains. The season will also be showing glimpses at Castiel's backstory, endeavor and potential.
The "Supernatural" showrunner Andrew Dabb has also shared some information during an interview. He said that they have prepared three episodes mainly focused on Castiel (Misha Collins), and this will be expected in the latter part of Season 12. One of the three episodes is set to be aired on the 2nd of February 2017, and it will be featuring a lost chapter of Castiel's history. In the Episode 11 of "Supernatural" Season 12, it will be showing Dean behaving like a child.
In a different interview with Andrew Dabb, he has also revealed that Sam's brother will be finding himself trapped in a strange loop that will be impacting his memory. This is most likely the mysterious spell they will be studying in the upcoming season as speculated by the TV shows fans. In addition, the loop will slowly be removing memories, and concerns.
