This year's "Doctor Who" Christmas Special will be featuring familiar aliens, a quirky new companion, and of course a superhero. There is also one particular thing that might get the viewers emotional in the upcoming "The Return of Doctor Mysterio" Christmas special.
According to Los Angeles Times, the holiday episode is the usual mix of the extremely local and the greater than global. The Doctor will be changing lives of certain individuals on his path of saving all the lives. Steven Moffat's has devoted more time in the heroic acts rather than the romance and domestic comedy of the story. The episode will also be featuring Earth-threatening elements which are standard and familiar.
"The Return of Doctor Mysterio" will be featuring Peter Capaldi returning as the Twelfth Doctor, and he is also going to have a new companion named, Nardole. They will also be meeting with a superhero named Ghost that looks over the city in the modern-day of New York.
According to Telegraph, the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) will not say farewell to a friend or a lover this holiday season. The shows keen viewers will also recognise the bad guys on the upcoming holiday episode. In addition, the departing "Doctor Who" showrunner, Steven Moffat believes that this special episode will make the viewers somehow emotional because of its love story.
The English actor Mark Gatiss has also stated that Steven Moffat's Seventh Christmas Special, is one of the television scribe's prime. The "Sherlock" actor has admitted that it has actually made him cry. On the other hand, Steven Moffat's wife, Sue Vertue, has also read the script and it has also brought her down to tears.
Steven Moffat also explained that a love story is always at the heart of every superhero story. The screenwriter has also further stated that, the superhero character Clark Kent from Superman is a good example to this.
Still some it is better that the rest is unspoiled like a Christmas present, and you never know what is inside unless you open it. Watch the trailer of "The Return of Doctor Mysterio" below, and subscribe for more updates!
