Apple Insider Reveals Changes On iPhone 8: OLED Screen, Wireless Charging, But More Expensive! Find Out How Much It Costs

Apple is known for being very secretive when it comes to their upcoming products, but not even them can avoid the occasional leak of information from making its way to the internet. As such, information can leak freely online and the latest one shows that Apple is looking to make some changes to iPhone prices in 2017, which coincide with Apple's 10th Anniversary.

Forbes reports Apple is indeed aiming to do something interesting to the iPhone, but the only downside is that it's going to cost consumers more than what they are paying now. According to an Apple insider, the company will only iterate its 2017 versions of the iPhone and both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will appear similar to just all of the iPhones, which were released back in 2014, namely the iPhone 6.

So should consumers be worried about this? Not exactly because another insider claims the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus are only going to be "base models" and the iPhone 8 will be the one garnering all the attention once it gets released. The iPhone 8 will completely break away from the mold of previous iPhone models as it will have a completely overhauled design that features no Home button, wireless charging, and an OLED display just to name a few. A report from the Wall Street Journal also says the phone will have a curved screen.

While the tactic might leave some consumers scratching their heads, it is actually a pretty brilliant risk taken by Apple that allows them to completely revamp the iPhone brand without having to worry about any negative reactions from customers who have already become attached to the iPhone's archaic design. However, this change in the design could also mean Apple will be making some changes to its price as well.

Customers who have never owned an iPhone before or still cannot justify the price of owning one may want to continue looking away because the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus are expected to have the same price tag as the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, which is $649 - $969. While it is still pure speculation, for the time being, many analysts theorize that a 256 GB iPhone might be priced at $1200.

Is it overpriced? Maybe or maybe not depending on how you look at it. But one thing is certain, Apple will continue to reach newer heights in 2017. Watch the video for iPhone 8 rumors that will definitely confirm the features of the upcoming smartphone.
