'Nier: Automata' Release Date, News, Update: Free Demo Version Available This Month, PC Version Release Not Confirmed

"Nier: Automata" was announced two years ago at E3 2015 and after mere teasers about the game, the "Nier: Automata" release date is finally revealed as well as a free demo for gamers to enjoy.

Gamers are excited upon knowing that "Nier: Automata" for PlayStation 4 will be out in the US on March 7, 2017 and will be released in Europe and the UK on March 10, 2017. Apart from that, there are speculations that the game will also be released on Windows PC, PC Advisor reports.

But despite the report from Gematsu, which based it from an interview with Square Enix in PC Gamer, there isn't any confirmation about its PC version release yet and only the PS4 version is confirmed for release.

Meanwhile, after announcing the "Nier: Automata" PS4 release, Square Enix revealed that a free demo version will be available this month. The demo will be launched on the PlayStation Store on Dec. 22.

"With an abandoned factory as the backdrop, the demo follows android 2B's mission to destroy a massive enemy weapon that lies within," the press release states, according to Game Spot.

Apart from the date, Square Enix also revealed that the game's sequel will have two different versions. There will be a Day One edition which comes with reversible box art and digital content as well as a Black Box edition that comes in a special box.

The Black Box edition can only be purchased on the online store of Square Enix at $190 which includes a 2B Figurine, art book, soundtrack, steel book case, and digital goodies of the Day One edition.

Square Enix developed "NieR: Automata" with Platinum Games which assures gamers that this will indeed be an interesting third-person action role-playing game. The design of the game is still the same from its original NieR giving players the same mood and fight system. New characters and storylines will be featured in the new sequel.
