Starbucks And 'Pokemon GO' Collaboration Rumors: Will All US Starbucks Turn Into Pokestops and Gyms?

Pokemon GO fans and coffee lovers should prepare for the yummiest crossover yet. Starbucks and Pokemon GO may be collaborating to give players a more fun and tasty way to play.

While waiting for an update on the popular game, a leaked document was released, appearing to be a huge partnership deal between the coffee chain giant and the app. From what Forbes reported on the rumored news, the new collaboration will turn all US Starbucks into a PokeStops or gyms.

Since the launch of the globally-popular Niantic game, it has taken people into cafés, restaurants and stores to capture Pokemon and get other game items. After recognizing hints that the game might offer perks at promoted locations, app data miners have previously imagined that this is only the start of something amazing for the game.

Based on the leaked file, its was observed that PokeStop stores have increased traffic and sales. So, it is Starbuck's mission to replicate this idea as much as it can. Though majority coffee shops are included in the promotion, some may be excluded because of technical issues at Niantic's side.

Though the Pokemon-themed drinks may be available on limited supply, it is still not clear if the selected coffeeshops will be permanent PokeStops, or a new deal will be in place. But, this new branding deal event on Dec. 8, Thursday could be a great avenue to launch the Gen 2 Pokemons. This will surely make things much more important and beneficial for the Pokemon gamers who happens to also love coffee.

Starbucks is set to have a "Pokemon GO Frappuccino," a drink that will most likely contain raspberry and blueberry items, which are reminiscent of the "berry items" in the game. The famous coffee shop baristas are instructed to prepare the drinks for its release.

This would not be the first time that the Niantic game partnered with a big brand to promote Pokemon Go. Just earlier this year, it partnered with McDonalds, turning branches in Japan into PokeStops.
