Los Angeles Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin might be just entering his fifth year in the league, but the Asian-American phenom claimed he has seen it all for him to detail the difference between Kobe Bryant and other superstars.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Daily News, Lin talked about Bryant and the character that sets his apart from his former superstar teammates like James Harden of the Houston Rockets and Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks.
The 26-year old star said Bryant is the hardest worker and most dedicated teammate he ever had, commending the Black Mamba's incredibly high basketball I.Q and attention to little things.
"How hard he works and his attention to detail." Lin told the press when asked what separates Bryant from his former teammates via LA Daily News. "The stuff that he thinks about or talks about, only someone who is really trying to analyze every single thing about the game would be able to understand something like that."
Lin played one season with Anthony and the Knicks during the 2011-2012 NBA campaign. Virtually unknown to anyone, Lin came out nowhere to lead the Knickerbockers to a series of victories after being hampered by injuries of their key stars. His feat turned into a worldwide sporting sensation, which is popularly known as Linsanity.
Few months after his Madison Square Garden breakout, Lin capitalized on his exploit with the Knicks to sign a three-year, $25 million contract with the Rockets, where he teamed up with Harden and then Dwight Howard before he was traded to the Lakers along with a first round pick last summer.
Playing in his final year of his contract, Lin is hoping for a breakout season in his first year with the purple-and-gold, and so far he's doing just fine through the first two weeks of training camp.
"I just want to figure out how I can bring my strengths and apply it best to this system," Lin told LA Daily News. "It's kind of like a chess match in learning and figuring it out."
After dishing out 10 dimes in a preseason match against the Nuggets last Monday, Lin will play against the team that picked him after being undrafted in 2010, the Golden State Warriors, on Thursday at Staples Center.
