One of the most common impressions that one has upon arriving in Venice is that it is a city in another world, created by a civilization from another galaxy. Venice is in Italy, but sometimes you forget you're in the country, because the city does not look like the rest of the boot shaped country. Moreover, it does not look like anything on the planet.
A floating city, built in the middle of a lake with water filled streets where "vehicles" (including ambulances and buses) are boats. Venice is surrounded by narrow streets, alleys, and squares and small bridges with amazing hidden details of the Byzantine architecture.
Venice is much more than expensive cafes and gondolas; it is an example of creativity. It's a place where you could easily lose yourself in taking photos, dreaming and dating.
