Tracy Morgan is now taking a legal action after the tragic car accident where his friend died and also almost took his life.
The comedian has been on the brink of life and death after he suffered multiple injuries on the June 7 tragic car accident. He spent several weeks in the hospital until his condition eventually progressed and now that he has been released and currently attending rehab sessions, he decided to do the right thing by filing an official complaint to the company of the truck that crashed into their limo van. The lawsuit has been filed by the actor with the other passengers on Thursday.
According to the lawsuit filed later this week in U.S. District Court in New Jersey, Walmart has been negligent in terms of the operation of its motor vehicle. It also claims that the retail company should've known that their truck driver has been awake for the entire 24 hours while it also alleges that the driver fell asleep while at the wheel. The result of the collision has been traumatizing for the comedian and to his family not just in his physical aspect, but also to his emotional aspect since he also lost a friend during the incident.
The car crash on June 7 almost took Tracy Morgan's life, but one of his friends reportedly died in the crash. Fellow comedian James McNair lost his life during the crash that took place in New Jersey. The collision which involved four cars occurred after truck driver Kevin Roper failed to notice the slow moving traffic ahead of him.
According to the report from National Transportation Safety Board, Roper was moving 65 mph in a 45-mph zone just before the accident happened. Tracy Morgan just moved into a rehab facility to continue his treatment course while he also mourns for his friend who died from the accident.
