Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are said to be one of the most solid and likeable real life couples in Hollywood, but it seems like the award-winning actor is already too controlling that he seemed to take over with his wife's choice when it comes to her circle of friends.
Aside from the previous casino controversies that the couple has been involved, another shocking revelation made by another Hollywood actor involving them just made the fans go crazy. Mark Ruffalo who is actually not a stranger to them definitely started the speculation that Ben Affleck may be someone who's controlling Jennifer Garner's choice of friends as he revealed that his friendship with the actress were almost okay until her husband enters the scene.
Before Jennifer Garner even tied the knot with Ben Affleck in 2005, the actress is already a friend to Ruffalo as they worked together in a movie way back in 2004. '13 Going On 30' is actually a romantic comedy film where the actress and Ruffalo played the roles of a couple. That definitely explains how the two stars were able to make a bond of friendship.
In the recent episode of "Watch What Happens Live", a curious fan asked Ruffalo regarding his relationship with Jennifer Garner and if he still keeps in touch with her. Ruffalo then answered no and that they had a great time together, but everything seemed to disappear when Ben Affleck started dating the actress at that time.
"We had a great time together, and I think we would, but then Ben came on the scene. And that was the end of that." Ruffalo said.
Andy Cohen then jokingly asked that: "I heard he doesn't allow her to have male friends?" Ruffalo did not say anything, but he just shrugged. Although it all came out as a joke, many are now really wondering if Ben Affleck is too strict that he really keeps an eye to his wife when it comes to her choices of male friends. It seems like the actor is too protective of his lady love and it also gives a hint that he is quite a jealous type of person.
