La Tomatina Festival: Tomato Wars in Buñol, Spain
La Tomatina Festival or what we would call "the tomato festival," is a tradition that has been around since 1945. This festival is like no other festival you have been to, where thousands of people from all over the world come together to participate in an enormous tomato battle. There are many different versions of how this tradition came about. All we can say for sure is that some unknown reason led to a tomato tradition that carries on today.
