Authorities Probe Naked Pictures of Russian Cheese Factory Workers Having Milk Bath

Be careful of the cheese you eat.

Photos of bare-chested workers in a Russian cheese factory bathing in barrels of milk have been circulating the web after one of the workers posted the footage of the milk bath in the social media and captioned: "Actually, our work is pretty boring."

The photo shows the naked workers plunging in the vats and seemingly enjoying their milk bath. The naked Russian workers cheerfully made victory and peace signs in the footage. They were also seen wearing shorts as they bath in the barrels of milk.

The photos of naked Russian workers that caused outrage from consumers were believed to have been taken inside the premises of the Trade House Cheeses factory in Omsk region in Siberia. The dairy company that specializes in string cheese supplies cheese to 14 cities in Russia.

After the images went viral, Russian authorities announced their investigation on the Omsk dairy factory for producing food that could be unsanitary and harmful to consumers.

The Investigative committee will investigate based on the established fact that "the liquid that the factory workers were bathing in was the raw milk that was used for making the cheese."

One of the workers in the cheese factory, Artem Romanov, justified that the bathing in the huge milk barrel meant to celebrate the birthday of a colleague. The photos of naked Russian workers' milk bath was uploaded late January but became viral lately and even raised alarm from watchdogs.

After Russian food safety watchdog RosPotrebNadzor visited the factory late last month, officials recommended banning of the cheese products.

The Daily Mail also cited a Russian newspaper's warning. "If you plan to buy string cheese the next time you go to the supermarket, you may want to check that it wasn't made in Omsk," it stated.

The court recently ordered closure of factory for 90 days pending investigation.
