Secret Button In Airplane Seat Gives Passengers More Room, Can Help In Making Flights More Comfortable

One of the things that make riding an airplane in economy class uncomfortable is the cramped seats, but that can be remedied with the push of a secret button to make more room in an aisle seat. This tip can help make flights more comfortable, especially with long-haul flights.

According to a report from Travel + Leisure, aisle seats in an airplane can be made spacious and it just needs a push of a button. The button is located on the underside of the outermost armrest of the aisle seat.

It's not that easy to find, as people would need to slide their hand under the armrest to locate the button. The button is close to the hinge and once it's pressed, passengers can freely move the armrest up so that it's level with the back seat and provide more freedom.

The report said that the feature is also a helpful trick to use at the end of the flight to make it easier for passengers to grab their luggage in the overhead bin. The feature was actually installed as a safety measure to allow passengers to escape quickly from their seat in case there's a need to quickly exit the plane.

The trick, though, will help make a passenger's flight a little more comfortable, especially during long-haul flights. But in case passengers still need more tips on how to really make their flight comfortable, Mirror had provided some tips for them to use.

The first thing that passengers can do to help make their long-haul flight comfortable is to ask during the check-in if there are any spare seats available on the plane. If there are, passengers could ask permission to move next to them, to give them more room to move freely.

It's also important to avoid the choosing the middle seat as much as possible, while window seats are best for passengers who don't regularly go to the toilet and are content on just sitting in their seats. Aisle seats are for those who wants to be able to stretch their legs from time to time or those who go to the toilet regularly.
