Fans of "Yuri!!! On Ice" will be in for a treat as a never-before-seen exhibition of Yuri Plisetsky will be part of the bundle for the series' final home video volume. An event will also be held on April 29 and people are hoping season 2 will be announced there.
According to a report from ComicBook, the inclusion of Plisetsky's exhibition video was revealed on the official "Yuri!!! On Ice" website last Monday. The final home video volume of the hit anime series is scheduled to come out on May 26.
The report said that the exhibition video is the "Yuri Plisetsky GPF in Barcelona EX 'Welcome to The Madness.'" The "Welcome to The Madness" is a track that comes from the album of the "Oh!Suketora!!! Yuri!!! on Ice" Original Skate Song Collection.
Aside from the exhibition video, the report said that fans who will purchase the final volume will also be getting an exclusive booklet, a "Yuri!!! On Ice" colouring book, and a dialogue recording session video of Stéphane Lambiel for the finale. The bundle will also include choreographer Kenji Miyamoto's video of figure skating choreography.
The official website also released a visual for the "Yuri!!! On Stage" event on April 29, where exclusive goods about the anime series will be offered. But other than "Yuri!!! On Ice" merchandise, fans are hoping that the event will be used to announce season 2 of the hit anime series.
Since "Yuri!!! On Ice" ended on December 2016, fans have been clamouring for animation studio MAPPA and creator Mitsuro Kubo to come out with a season 2. Though no official announcement have come from either, there have been a lot of speculation that season 2 will happen and it will likely come out in October 2017, the same month that season 1 released.
With "Yuri!!! On Ice" being a very popular anime, it's highly unlikely that MAPPA and Kubo disappoint the fans by not letting season 2 happen. For now, check out a teaser of Yuri Plisetsky's exhibition in the video below.
