Fans will likely have to deal with the shortage of Nintendo Switch stock all year long, as the console will continue to be in high demand. But there's a report that says having a shortage of supplies might actually be a good thing for the fans.
According to a report from WWG, GameStop is expecting Nintendo's newest console to continue to sell well. But that would mean that the stock of Nintendo Switch would continue to experience a shortage, which could be frustrating for the people who are looking to buy them.
The report said that GameStop believes the supply shortage of the console will continue throughout the year due to its high demand. The company already "multiple replenishments" of Switch stocks, but they're all sold out within hours.
One reason for the console's demand is the game "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." GameStop said that the attach rate between the game and Switch console is almost at 1:1, which means almost anyone who bought the console also bought the game.
But having a shortage of Nintendo Switch stocks might not actually be a bad thing, according to Express. This is because of the left Joy-Con connectivity issues that some users are experiencing with the console.
Though Nintendo denied that the issue is widespread and said the problem is not significant, the company recently said that they have identified the issue and has already altered the manufacturing process.
Since not everyone has gotten their hands on the Nintendo Switch, there's a big chance that the newly available stock of the console won't be experiencing the issue anymore. The report said that fans who are still waiting for a new stock would also have more games to choose from when the Nintendo Switch becomes available again.
"Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" and "Puyo Puyo Tetris" are both scheduled to come out in April. This gives people more games to play with the Switch. Check out the review for the Nintendo Switch in the video below.
