Many fans were left with a cliffhanger during the fall finale of "Empire" season 3 which aired last December. With episode 10 showing this week, fans wonder what the Lyons are up to now.
Econotimes reports that Cookie and Lucious are still in conflict with each other. In the first half of season 3, the Lyon matriarch started a new romance with Angelo, played by actor Taye Diggs. Lucious does not like it one bit and is hell bent on making things hard for the new couple, most especially his rival Angelo.
Fansided recaps that Lucious manipulated things and now Cookie's love interest, who is running for the mayoral office has to deal with the press after a DUI. He also announced his new project, Inferno, but Cookie vows revenge on him and promises that pretty soon he will topple from his throne.
It seems that things are not looking good for the Lyon patriarch. It seems that his power is not as it used to be. Viewers would remember that in order to acquire a loan, he actually gave Shyne a stake in his label. His assets are frozen as the FBI are still pursuing a case against him.
Add the fact that Jamal, who is not just his son but featured artist for his label, has developed a serious drug addiction. Speaking of Jamal, it seems that he will meet and bond with a musician (Rumer Willis) during his time in rehab. Hakeem is still being Hakeem in his own way while the eldest son Andre, is still determined to take over the company through shady means.
The next episode of "Empire" season 3 is entitled "Sound and Fury" and it looks like the viewers will be in for an emotional and explosive episode.
