‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' Lets Players Use Wild Dogs In The Game To Help Locate Hidden Treasure

One of the hottest games to be released this 2017 is the Nintendo Switch's "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." One feature the game offers is being able to interact with the dogs which will help players find hidden treasures.

According to a report from GameRant, players are able to interact with the game's surroundings and animals. Dogs are one of the animals they can form a bond with and interaction with them in the right way will prompt them to lead Link to hidden treasures.

The report said that players would need to be able to create loyalty among the Hyrule shepherds and try to build a strong bond with them. Once the bonds are strong enough, these dogs would lead link to treasures that he can unearth with Magnesis.

The problem, though, is there's no way for players to gauge if they already have a strong enough bond with the dogs. Unlike horses where they can take them to the stable to check the strength of the bond, players would only have to rely on the behavior of the dogs.

Once a player finds a dog, try to stand near it until it triggers the pink puff. Then try to share some food for them to eat. The report said that the dogs would seem to eat any type of food.

After a certain amount of bond has been built up, the dog would start to follow Link around. The dog would even chase Link and play around after a short sprint. Once the bond between Link and the dog is big enough, the dog will run off and head to a hidden treasure that is half buried and overgrown with grass.

Mic reports that dogs in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" are usually found around villages or where people dwell in the outskirts. The Dueling Peaks stable or the Hateno Village farm is one of the best places to start.

The report adds that there won't be any special icons that would notify a player that they can bond and interact with the dog. Players would just need to find a dog and try to bond with it to find hidden treasures.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is currently available on the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U. Check out the gameplay of the game in the video below.
