"Vikings" is just one of the top TV series of History channel, and with its Season 5 on its way a shocking renewal has been confirmed. Show creator Michael Hirst revealed said confirmation and he has teased some vital events of the upcoming season.
According to The Tribune Voice, just recently they reported that Season 4 of the series has wrapped up leaving fans anticipating what could happen in the next season. Sadly, the previous season has ended in a shocking manner since most of the key characters of the series have died. However, this coming season is the dawn for a new entry for the character Heahmund played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
The network will also be renewing the series with a total of 20 episodes and they are already in the works. The show's creator Hirst has also stated that Ivar (Alex Hogh Andersen) is in a highly valued position. He added that this coming "Vikings" Season 5 will probably begin with Sigurd's (Elijah O Sullivan) burial, which makes Ivar sincerely weeping over his actions from which he never meant to do so.
Moreover, the Great Army has already dominated a vast fragment of England, which is hinted as the beginning of the upcoming season of the series. As per Variety, they got to talk with Hirst about the endpoint of the story. In their report, they stated that since the show had so many famed actors that can make an assurance that the show will be running for another two seasons. In addition, a statement by Hirst was mentioned in the same report, which indicates that he is just writing the last two episodes of Season 5.
